Welcome to Early Years Foundation Stage

Thank you for taking the time to visit our EYFS area. We hope you find it interesting and informative. The purpose of the area is to give you an insight of what we, as an EYFS, want to achieve as well as giving you as much information as possible to keep you up-to-speed with what’s going on. Visit the buttons below to access our EYFS classes: Little Learners, Nursery and Reception.

Please feel free to contact the school at anytime to arrange a visit to EYFS. If you have any questions or queries, as a staff we are more than happy to help.  We also welcome visits from prospective parents.

Kind regards,

Mount Pleasant Primary School -

a Magical place, where our children are Proud, Positive and Successful.

Our EYFS is a magical, happy place where our children develop a love of learning and curiosity in the world around them. Through books and experiences, they discover the magic of language and how this enables them to ask questions, offer opinions and talk about what they have learnt.

Magical
Proud

The adults in our team are proud of all our children and the progress that they make in EYFS.  We know that parents and carers will be proud too. Our children are proud of their own achievements and love to share their learning with others. We are proud to be unique. We are proud of each other. We are proud to be part of Mount Pleasant Primary School.

Positive
Successful

We support our children in developing a positive attitude to learning new things and completing activities, even if they are challenging.

Our children know how to take positive steps to looking after their own well-being, both physically and mentally. Our children form positive relationships with others. Our children understand how they can have a positive role in looking after our world.

Our children experience success on their journey through EYFS so that they have the skills and knowledge to ‘learn for life’.

We intend that they will be successful in building the foundations for all further learning to take place.
